Utah Trip

Our first stop in Utah was my grandparent's house. I never got a good picture of my kids with their great-grandparents but they loved being at their house.


Their favorite part was playing with the kittens that Grandma H had adopted (the momma cat was a stray). My grandma is always feeding stray cats :)


The kids and I named the kitties. The black one is Shadow and the orange one is Sandy.


The scrawny one is Tigress and the gray striped one is Storm.


My kids were in kitty heaven.


The kittens didn't really enjoyed being held but that didn't stop my kids.


Scrawny little Tigress was always the easiest to catch.


None of these kittens were allowed to come home with us. I am not a cat person. (I blame my Dad.)


Sandy was the only boy. Unfortunately for him we named him before we knew he was a boy.

A near by town had Tow Mater outside the movie theater, so we went to meet him.

July 4th Parade. Once again a failed attempt at a cute photo containing all five kiddos. This is why I won't pay a photographer to take a family photo of us.


Small town parades are the best. We got front row seats outside my uncle John's gas station and some of my cousins were in the parade. It almost makes me want to live in a small town. Almost.


Collin preferred to sit back and watch the parade from Grandma C.'s lap.



It's all about the candy.


My kids had some serious competition to get their sweets.


Playing in the ditch. We tried to race a boat down the ditch but it didn't work to well.

Watching fireworks with grandparents and cousins. This was a few days before the fourth and the youngest three were tired and grouchy so they didn't get to go.

We did more fireworks on July 4th for Lincoln since he missed the big show. This is Lincoln and his sparkler.

Our next stop in at the home of Joel's brother Neal. The kids loved playing with their cousins Olivia and Joseph.


These boys were best buds when they were little. It's a shame that they no longer live near each other.


Eating some BYU Creamery ice cream. YUM!


After ice cream we went to the BYU Bean Life Science Museum.


We also took a trip up to Salt Lake City and went the LDS Church History Museum.

My last night in Utah I got to eat dinner with some high school friends: Larin, Emmalee and Gary. It was so fun seeing them again and meeting their cute kids.
